We had a handful of athletes (and family and friends) competing at the Detroit Marathon events.
Chad Whistler- Had a PR at the half marathon distance; shortly after coming off a stress fracture in his leg with a 1:36 finish(7:20/mile average). Good enough for a 52nd OVERALL finish on the US Race. Apparently starting easy is a good coach’s recipe.
John Wilson- “The Counselor” on the Time Crunched Athlete program ran a very well paced 1:43 for a sub 8/mile average. Great job considering all the “Life Stuff” he has going on.
Adam Clifton- On his first event back in preparation for 2015 did a Yeoman’s job in pacing his sister in her first half marathon.
The Coach had a well executed negative split event that was within 10 seconds of his run 2 years ago. Good to hold some speed as one gets older.
